BOB GILL EXHIBTION - 6 NEW HAND COLOURED SILK SCREEN PRINTS

BOB GILL EXHIBTION - 6 NEW HAND COLOURED SILK SCREEN PRINTS 6pm Thursday 28th March 2013 Print Club Gallery 10-28 Millers Avenue Dalston E82ds RSVP rsvp@printclublondon.com We have been huge fans of Bob and were so excited when he agreed to work with us in producing some new prints. Bob joined us in our studio where he hand finished his silk screen prints with watercolour, making each one completely original and unique. After freelancing as designer/illustrator/teacher in New York, Gill emigrated to London on a whim and stayed 15 years. There, he founded Fletcher/Forbes/Gill later renamed Pentagram. Gill’s work has been exhibited in major museums around the world and his lectures on design are legendary. He has written eleven books on design and illustration, as well as many children’s books. Bob earned Lifetime Achievement Awards from both the London and New York Design and Art Directors’ Associations. D&AD also came to film illustrators Margot Bowman & Serge Seidlitz in conversation with Bob. Have a look at the link to see more of Bob's visit : http://www.dandad.org/inspiration/features-and-opinion/bob-gill-at-print-club-london Dalstons favourite basement bar Ruby's ( http://rubysdalston.com ) , will be opening up a container in our alleyway and serving cocktails inspired by the prints for the PV evening so come down to join us for a drink and to see his incredible new work. The prints are in editions of 15, £850.00 each. Sales enquiries please contact Harriet@printclublondon.com
