Margaux Carpentier is a Freelance illustrator based in London. Having studied at the national school of design Olivier de Serres in Paris, and at the UCA Farnham, gaining a BA (Hons) in Graphic Communication in which she graduated from in 2010. Her imagery is inspired by folk tales from all around the world, days spent at the natural history museum, and nights spying on badgers in Surrey’s dark woods. Her print for PMU represents the apparition of the wolf on earth according to an Eskimo legend. First there was a man and a woman, and the woman had to dig a hole into the ice to drag all the animals out of the sea. Margaux’s illustration depicts the first meeting between the first woman and the wolf-god Amarok.
